Report a Claim Instruction Center

We pray that you will never need to file a claim, but if you do, each one of our agents have their cell phones on 24 hours a day / 7 days a week so we can be here for you. If we are not able to answer, leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible!

Review the information below for steps to take in the case of a claim:

  1. Be Prepared. It is important to be prepared for an incident in case one happens. Waiting till it happens, to figure out what to do will cause more issues that you definitely don’t need at that time. Click Here for excellent information on how to create a Accident Response Plan.

  2. Notify the proper authorities. Notify Emergency Services IMMEDIATELY, if necessary. Contact the police in particular of theft or vandalism claims and review the NTSB procedures.

  3. Notify Us at (877) 353-1047. In the case of an emergency, call your agent's cell phone!

  4. Notify the Insurance Company. As soon as possible, notify your insurance company. Note the time, place and description of the occurrence and the names with points of contacts for any injured people and witnesses, including all passengers. Immediately forward copies of any demands, notices, summonses or legal papers received in conjunction with an occurrence.

  5. Understand your Insurance Policy. Read your insurance policy to understand the specific steps and duties you need to perform in the event of a loss. This information is usually found in the “Conditions of Insurance” section. As always, call us if you need help with this.

  6. Protect the Property. Do everything in your power to protect the aircraft or property from further damage. DO NOT abandon it.

  7. Do Not Make Any Statements. Do not make any written or oral statements about the occurrence without your insurance company’s permission. You cannot hinder the insurance company’s ability to seek reimbursement for damages from responsible parties, therefore, do not assume any obligation, liability, accept any offer or reward or make any payment, except for necessary first aid or to immediately protect from further damage.

  8. File Proof of Loss. Proof of loss must be filed with the insurance company within a set amount of time. This is usually a sworn statement setting forth the interest of the named insured and of all others in the property affected, any encumbrances, the value of the property at the time of the loss, the amount, place, time and cause of such loss, and the description and amounts of all other insurance covering such property.

  9. Cooperate with the Insurance Company. Allow the insurance company to inspect the damaged property before disposal or making repairs. Also, cooperate with the insurance company’s representatives with such things as regular communication with the adjustor, answering questions about the occurrence under oath, helping obtain and give evidence, attending hearings and trials and getting witnesses to testify, etc.
