Aviation Solutions Team
Kyle White - President
Kyle discovered his passion
for all things aviation after experiencing his first airplane ride while working
on the aviation merit badge in scouting. After he earned the rank of Eagle Scout,
he pursued his pilots license at the local airport. He paid for his licenses
and ratings by washing as many as five airplanes each Saturday. Kyle started working
in a corporate flight department, for a Fortune 50 company, while still in high school.
His initial position was aircraft maintenance assistant and by the age of 22 he
was a Captain on the King Air B200 and an SIC in the Beechjet 400A and Challenger 600.
While working his way up in the flight department, he pursued a degree in Professional
Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Upon the closing of the corporation’s
flight department Kyle was seeking a career revolving around his love for aviation, but with
more stability. This lead to the aviation insurance industry and a position with, at the time,
the world’s largest insurance brokerage firm. In August 2004, having an entrepreneur spirit
and an understanding of the insurance and aviation industry, Kyle founded Aviation Solutions, LLC.
Kyle is a current Certified Multi-Engine Instrument Flight Instructor, FAASTeam Lead Representative,
and former President of the Kansas City Business Aviation Association. When he is not solving his
customers insurance and risk management concerns he enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons,
as well as golfing and lake activities such as fishing and boating. Kyle and his family also value
time with their church and giving back to their community through several local organizations.
Carl
Grimmett - Insurance Broker and
Risk Specialist
Carl has been surrounded by aviation his entire life. His father bought the family’s first aircraft when Carl was nine years old. After growing up ‘hanging around’ airports throughout his youth it was natural for him to solo when he turned 16 and take his private pilot check ride when he was 17. Carl has owned numerous aircraft from Pitts’ to Piper Twin Comanches’ throughout his life. In 1963 his father purchased a 1947 J3 Cub that the family still owns and keeps at their private grass strip. Currently, Carl owns a J Model Bonanza that he enjoys flying for both pleasure and business. Carl has also worked as a professional pilot flying Beechjets and King Airs under Part 91 and 135 operating rules. With Carl’s vast aviation experience, ranging from aircraft ownership to professional flying, there is no doubt your insurance policy is in good hands. Carl serves as more than in insurance broker to his clients, he is also an invaluable aviation resource. When Carl is not working hard for his customers, or hanging around the local airport, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two children and their spouses, and grandchildren at Lake of the Ozarks. He may even find time to finish his 1936 Ford Hot Rod one day!
Dana

Insurance
Broker and Risk Specialist
Dana has
worked as an aviation insurance agent since 1993.
Dana also recently retired
from the Federal Aviation Administration after 24 years of
service as an Air Traffic Controller.
During his tenure with the FAA,
in addition to working as a controller, he also worked as a
Traffic Management Coordinator, Quality Assurance
Specialists, and a Front-line Manager. Combined with
his professional aviation experience, he has been a pilot
since 1984 and currently holds a Private Multi-engine
Instrument rating.
Over the years he has been
involved in private aircraft ownership as an individual
owner, partnership owner, Limited Liability Corporation
partner, and flying club member.
His variety of ownership
experiences has given him the experience necessary to help
many of his customers as they transition from one type of
aircraft to another.
He enjoys the challenge of
working with pilots who are making large transition jumps
from one aircraft to another and helping them to find the
insurance coverage they need to make their dream come true.
He has also helped many
customers lay out a two or three year transition plan if
they can’t get to the ultimate aircraft in one jump.
Every customer is treated with the same genuine and sincere
interest in finding them the best possible deal no matter
how big or how small the policy. Let Dana use his
experience as a pilot, aircraft owner, former FAA employee,
and aviation insurance specialists to work for you to help
you with all of your aviation needs.

Sharon has over 30 years of aviation insurance experience.
She began her career in the aviation insurance claims

When they closed their Kansas City Regional office,
she became their Territorial Underwriter for 7 States in

She still had a small one at home so chose to quit
and become an Agent.
She has now been an agent since 1995.
She loves the challenge of being an Agent/Broker with
her top priority being getting the best, most comprehensive
coverage for each and every one of her clients.
Jeff
McClaran - Insurance
Broker and Risk Specialist
Jeff fell in love with anything to do with airplanes as a
small child. He was constantly exposed to it since his
mother, Sharon Agee (above), and her husband were both in
aviation insurance. At the age of 15, he was presented
with two choices, work at a local airport as a line boy or
work at a Christian youth ranch as a ranch hand. Jeff
accepted the position at the youth ranch and set out on a
course to become a minister, and is glad he did, as he met
his wife while being a missionary in Hong Kong. Once returning to the states, with added
responsibilities, he took a career in sales and worked with
several Fortune 500 companies in sales management, marketing
and customer service. He never forgot about his love
for airplanes and flying. In 2008 he decided to take
the risk and leave the corporate giant and join Aviation
Insurance Corp (which merged with Aviation Solutions in
2010) and fulfill the longtime dream of working in aviation.
Jeff is currently working on his pilot's license and hopes
to someday rejoin the missionary field as a part-time
missionary pilot. He is completely dedicated to
Aviation Solutions' high level concierge-type service that
they are dedicated to provide all their clients.
